Jonathan Dwyer rushed for a career-high 186 yards on 22 carries, including 3 TDs. He averaged 8.5 yards a carry in easily his best game of the season. The game quietly put Dwyer AHEAD of his pace from last season:
2009 (9 games): Rushes - 146
Yards - 904
Avg. - 6.2
YPG - 100.4
TD - 8
2008 (through 9 games):
Rushes - 138
Yards - 899
Avg. - 6.5
YPG - 99.9
TD - 7
Despite the lack of fanfare surrounding Dwyer after his slow start this year, he has a chance against a weak remaining schedule to beat his statistics from last year's ACC Player of the Year season.
It won't be easy though - Dwyer finished very strong last year, with games of 157, 128, and 144 yards rushing.
